Servicing Advisor
Fortress Wealth Advisors | Clinton, Missouri
Full-time, on-site | Salaried position, no production requirement
Base salary $65,000–$75,000 depending on experience, plus incentive compensation and benefits. Salary range could be higher for candidates with abundant experience.
Overview
Fortress Wealth Advisors is an independent financial advisory practice in Clinton, Missouri, affiliated with Cetera Advisors as our broker-dealer. We are a fiduciary advisory practice built around comprehensive financial planning with a strong investment focus.
We are seeking an experienced advisor to join our team as a Servicing Advisor. This is a salaried role dedicated to serving clients well; there is no production quota, no prospecting requirement, and no commission-based compensation.
The advisor in this role will work directly with clients, conducting review meetings, delivering planning work, and serving as a trusted point of contact as part of a two-person advisory team.
Responsibilities
• Conduct client review meetings, prepare supporting analysis, and manage follow-up items
• Build, update, and monitor financial plans, including retirement income projections and Social Security analysis
• Serve as a responsive day-to-day point of contact for client questions and service needs
• Handle account establishment, transfers, distributions, and beneficiary work, including the technical decisions involved
• Gather and organize client data in preparation for planning work
• Lead enrollment and education meetings for the retirement plans our firm advises
• Help develop and document the service standards and processes the firm operates within
What this role is not
This is not a back-office or paraplanning position. You would be in front of clients, trusted with real relationships, and expected to steward them well.
Nor is it a sales role. There is no production quota, no prospecting requirement, and no cold calling. Compensation is not commission-based, and this position does not require you to bring an existing book of business.
If you eventually wish to develop client relationships of your own, the firm will support and compensate that work, but it is an opportunity, not an expectation, and never a condition of employment.
Qualifications
Required
• Series 7 and Series 66 (or 63/65), active or recently held
• Three or more years of client-facing experience in financial services
• Clean regulatory record
• Ability to reliably commute to our Clinton office
Preferred
• Experience with financial planning software and advisory platforms
• Life and health insurance licensing
• Progress toward a professional designation
What matters most
The technical requirements above are real, but they are not what will decide this hire.
This practice works because clients trust us with things they do not tell other people. That trust is the foundation of everything we do. We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in people, who listens well, who follows through without being chased, and who is straightforward with clients even when the news is not good.
We can teach our processes, platforms, and planning approach. We cannot teach the rest.
Compensation and benefits
• Base salary: $65,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience and credentials. Salary range could be higher for candidates with abundant experience.
• Incentive compensation: Annual incentive tied to client retention and service quality, not to sales
• Benefits: Health insurance contribution, retirement plan with employer contribution, paid time off
• Professional development: Licensing, continuing education, and professional designation coursework supported by the firm
• Advancement: A defined path to increased responsibility and expanded compensation over time
Why this role is worth considering
Building a career in this industry is harder than it should be. Many firms hire advisors primarily for product, offer little in the way of training or mentorship, and move on when results do not come quickly enough.
We are building something different. This role offers a stable salary, meaningful client work, direct mentorship, and a clear path forward without requiring you to survive a commission-only environment first. As our first advisor hire, you would have real influence over how this firm grows and real opportunity as it does.
